Ask us anything - we're serious!
Groundswell is a unique...thing: an alternative business school, a coworking space, a community of values based small businesses and solopreneurs, a hub of innovative approaches to business and education...and we've confused people even more by being a cafe, event venue, coffee roaster, and more in our 5 years in this city!
Groundswell coordinator Leila Fraser will host the interview and interviewers - you! - in a casual, engaging dialogue. Here is your chance to ask us about all the trials, tribulations, moments of pride, and blossoming developments in the story of Vancouver's only alternative business school.
Stay for the potluck and more conversation! Bring a tasty drink or dish to share or RSVP with a $10 contribution to the table and we'll make sure there's enough to go around.
Who's in the room?
Jim is a serial entrepreneur with over 30 years of international experience in various industries. He invested his own money to start the Groundswell Cafe alongside the school back in 2013, inspired by Jamie Oliver Fifteen social enterprise restaurant, where disadvantaged youth were trained and handed over a restaurant to run. What happened to the Groundswell Cafe? Ask Jim!
Gilad is a visionary and internationally sought after consultant in alternative and democratic education and social innovation. He gets sh*t done and inspires others to do so too, making all sorts of dreams possible with his must-do attitude - there's no holding back on possibilities with Gilad!
Sanja builds capacity and introduces innovation to charities in BC. She was inspired to dedicate her time and whiteboard walled rooms to help Groundswell grow over the past three years and has become an integral part of our team of advisors.
Every month, Groundswell hosts a community potluck and gathering to connect, share and celebrate with new and old faces in this ecosystem of social change and entrepreneurship. Come hang out! Sign up for the Groundswell newsletter to stay informed about all our events and opportunities.
